I am disappointed in this product. Pros: 1. Good size 2. The hardness of the studs is what I expected. Cons: 1. It's hard to hold on to, especially when your hands are wet or covered in lotion. The "grip" doesn't help if you hold the brush between your fingers while holding it. 2. The protrusions have indentations at the top where lotion collects and cannot be cleaned. Even a good brushing with a nail brush could not wash off all the lotion immediately after use.3. And that's perhaps the worst option: It fills up with water when used in the shower or rinsing off lotion. And it's not meant to be taken apart for cleaning. You could theoretically disassemble it, but it would be difficult and you could potentially damage it in the process. Between that and the notches, it's not hygienic at all. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product and have already ordered another one that can be disassembled for cleaning.
