I've wanted an Instant Pot for a long time, mostly for brown rice and oatmeal. Everything to prepare them faster and with more consistent results. I chose the 3 liter model as I usually only make two servings at a time. Unfortunately, after reading the included instructions and recipe book, both brown rice and oatmeal are best cooked in "multi grain" mode, which is not the case with the 3 liter model! Instead of. Probably the only difference in multigrain mode is the "warm pre-soak" before the main course. I've made several batches of long grain brown rice and oatmeal and it seems to work well. But it's hard to say if they'll get any better with the right multi-grain setup. π€·ββοΈIt would be nice if it was clear BEFORE purchasing that this mode does not exist in the 3 quart version. Even the comparison chart on the Instant Pot website doesn't call it "multigrain". You'll have to do some digging to find the official announcement that it's not available.
