Overall the friction performance of the product was good, unfortunately the suction performance was poor. Despite trying it on several different surfaces, the grater didn't stick and made it impossible to spin. I was only able to grate a few things because my husband held the grater on the countertop. If it came with some sort of clamp to attach it to a table etc it would make a very good and handy grater.
