Love this toaster. The extra space in it is so helpful. And I never burned myself on it like I do every day on an old toaster. The top and sides are very warm, but not so hot that you'll burn yourself if you touch them, and the front door handle is designed so that there is enough space between it and the door and the handle doesn't get too hot. Having learned my lesson from another brand, I will never buy anything but a Black & Decker toaster again.
