I had several areas where I needed some light. I bought it mainly for my gun safe. I put it on the bottom of the shelves and now I see what's happening there. Another was installed next to my water heater so I could see how to set the timer on the hot water circulating pump. Bringing light into the darkness once again. Three AAA batteries and you're good to go. When you mount the top case, it can be easily removed from the bracket to change the battery. We love it!
