I have been using Greener Chef products, particularly the cutting board, for over two years and this knife is another great example of their quality products. The weight is perfect and the sharpness makes cutting a breeze. As someone who has used relatively good but cheap knives for most of his life, this knife was a wake-up call for me that a good knife is worth buying. I would recommend this as a great starter kit for novice or slightly experienced cooks as a great knife and cutting board goes a long way.
