The light bar is fine (although it has a lot of little dots instead of a nice smooth light source) but the lids on the 28 lattice boxes won't close and if you're not careful you'll become one Got a mess trying to pour one color when the lids pop on others. Luckily the storage grids come in sets of 4 so when choosing a diamond I left the other 3 lids a specific color so I wouldn't end up with a mess of diamonds on my desk. This would not be possible if all 28 containers were connected to each other. Even if you just sit horizontally, the lids tend to pop open on their own. The rest of the kit is fine, but those storage boxes are pretty much useless. I have included a few photos with this review, one of which is a picture of a storage box that sat undisturbed on my desk for several minutes with the lid opening by itself. In another image, the light bar shows a dotted pattern at the maximum setting. This pattern is suitable for use with a Diamond Painting canvas but can be distracting in other applications.
