but made of polyester. I have already used it for several projects and I am very satisfied with the results. It's as strong as Coats & Clark and other branded yarns, but it's a more budget-friendly option. Each spool is 200 yards long, which is good enough for many of the projects I use them on, like tops, pants, and shorts. The spool labels say this is hand quilt and it is definitely a quality thread that I would use for hand embroidery. I've used it for machine embroidery and it's great. The variety of colors is excellent and I always find one that perfectly matches my fabric. My only complaint is that the decals on the rollers really stick to my car. Finally I remove the stickers separating the color numbers from the spools. It's ok since I don't match colors by numbers, just visually. However, peeling off the stickers is still a bit of a hassle. Otherwise this thread is great. I've added a photo of a 350 yard coat spool over one of these 200 yard spools. Works the same with my Janome.
