After struggling with my Samsung Smart TV's composite video cables and AV inputs (and buying the wrong types of cables), I finally bought it this device. Although it cost me more than a VCR, I'm happy to report that it works - and if your TV has a spare USB port for this converter to use for power, it's a very handy connection . The video goes like clockwork and the audio is solid too.
