Didn't work as advertised

I don't think it was worth the money. It said that HDMI is connected to the TV and the 3 RCA cables are connected to the TV and it didn't work. I really want my DVD to work and it didn't. I think that the cords ran the other way around back then. HDMI goes to DVD and RCA goes to TV. I did not want. He said he went the other way.

Big disappointment

Poorly made product and terrible picture. Sporadic "green" noise appears across the entire screen, rendering it unwatchable. Also, this product REQUIRES A POWER SOURCE, which is not clear on the sales page and is very inconvenient. Even the "RCA to HDMI" arrow is printed the wrong way. I will return this product. Avoid.

That does not work. - Cables and connections

The item I received does not match the description. It was actually the opposite of the 'yes' picture posted with the product. I hope it was just a compilation error. So it doesn't work and I have to return it for a refund. This cable is for RCA HDMI, but the ends of this cable are "switched" to the opposite as I understand it {not as shown in the picture of course.

After struggling with my Samsung Smart TV's composite video cables and AV inputs (and buying the wrong types of cables), I finally bought it this device. Although it cost me more than a VCR, I'm happy to report that it works - and if your TV has a spare USB port for this converter to use for power, it's a very handy connection . The video goes like clockwork and the audio is solid too.

Solves the problem of connecting an old VHS/DVD player to a new LCD/HD TV

Great product! If you are looking for a product that will connect your older VHS player/DVD recorder to your new LCD/HDTV and you want the VHS side of the player to work and the TV to have a signal. Also, your combo player only has RCA audio cable jacks, while your TV has a USB port and an HDMI port. I have an indoor antenna that also has a USB connector and this product also has a USB connector. I'm ordering a USB splitter cable so I can use a USB port on my TV, connect an antenna, and connect
