Sold as a plug and play factory replacement, albeit only partially. The electrical connections match the factory connections on my 2008 4Runner, but the mechanical attachment of the connector doesn't even come close. The mount is a simple 90 degree mount and even if you drill holes in the truck trailer wiring harness connector or even try to mount it to the metal bumper from underneath, the flip cover will hit the plastic bumper cover. I didn't want to cut the bumper cover for this to work so I returned it. Other ways to get this to work would be to use some posts in the mount, but that would probably make the connector unstable, especially as the connector is much more solid. than the factory plug, at least for my trailer. They could also make some sort of adapter between the new plug or mounting bracket and the truck's mounting points, but I didn't want to waste time and effort on something that had to be plug and play.
