Anyone can cut a bike chain with an angle grinder in about 3 minutes, no matter the thickness. That extra minute or two matters, though, because cutting the chain creates a lot of noise, a lot of sparks, and a lot of suspicion. In my opinion, this chain is about as heavy as you want to attach it to your bike. The harder it is, the funnier it is. It's a good solid heavy chain and the scabbard is nice. I have the 5.25ft version, I wouldn't go any shorter or it would be uncomfortable. I recommend it.
