Arcade home console for less than $60? take my money

First of all this is a must have for this price. If you're looking for the easiest, most hassle-free way to play real arcade games at home on your TV on a literally "plug and play" home console, stop reading the reviews, add to your cart and try them out. I am very happy with this console. It's not without its minor flaws, the pros and cons of which I'll detail below. Before I get to that, I have to ask you not to give views or likes to deceptive YouTubers with their review video titles like "OMG! The Retro Console is HACKED. Add your own games! This is deceptive bait. You don't have to "hack" this system to add your own roms. This is clearly an intended feature. It has an SD card slot on the back. You put a folder named "RetroCade Games" without the quotes on your SD card and put your legal game board (mame) or SNES, Genesis, GB or GBA ROMs in that folder. Insert an SD card in the back and play. Easy. No hacking. If you want to have an icon for your added games e.g. B. for the ones that come pre-installed on the console, also add a PNG-only image for each game in this folder and name this PNG exactly like the name of the corresponding ROM. plus add a pun at the end. So if the ROM is called ESWAT1. They call PNG ESWAT1game. Now look at the pros and cons below: PROSS is small (close to the Kodi box). Comes preloaded with great games. You can add your own legal ROMs. The controllers are pretty decent. While the controllers aren't wireless, they do have 10-foot cords. Save games internally or to an SD card (yes, you can save your arcade game progress). You can play games from multiple systems (so far I've tried Mame, SNES, GB and GBA, not sure about others). Price! The CONSIt box says it supports other third party USB controllers. I've tried many (including my own SNES retro bits and Buffalo 8bitDo wireless controllers) and couldn't get them to work properly. I would like a wireless controller. If anyone finds one that works, please post. Not 100% compatible with all games (it's an Android based system that runs Mame. If you've ever used Mame you know it can't play everything correctly or at all). Some games are preinstalled on the system, don't play 100%, especially Double Dragon (horrible framerate). I feel they should have eliminated two or three games that didn't go right. You can only filter games by title or genre etc. that came preinstalled on your console. Games on your SD card cannot be filtered. They appear in your menu first in alphabetical order and then by the date they were added to the SD card. Maybe this and controller compatibility can be fixed with a patch or update in the future? Hello retro beat? ;) Well, that's all. I've been playing around with Retropie and it's by far the best solution for casual gamers to play arcade games at home. It literally couldn't be easier. I recommend this so you don't disappoint your friends and have a list of games on your SD card, some of which may not work on this console, and have them click, download, and be sad because they wanted to play MK2, and it plays so slow it's unplayable, do what i did. You need to go through your game collection and see what works and what doesn't. I personally tried all my games one by one to see which ones either wouldn't load or load but wouldn't play due to frame rate issues. Then put the SD card back into the computer and only remove incompatible or unplayable games. Now you only see the games on the system that you know and play well. I would say 88% of my games play and play perfectly. Some may have music or sound effect glitches here and there, but whatever. Although MK2 was too choppy to play, I was thrilled that my favorites like Marvel Superheroes, AVP Arcade, Metamoquester, Blazing Star, R-Type Leo, Bakuretsu Breaker, and Metamorphic Force all played flawlessly. Seriously, stop reading about this and bring it home.
