In general, I really like the headphones. I'm not an audiophile but I do notice the sound quality and want something above average. I can say that they can't compete with the highest quality and most expensive headphones (there can be distortion, especially on some bass-heavy songs). I joke with my wife that I'm a headphone/ear collector as I seem to be constantly on the lookout for my next pair (each in a very different style as I like different styles for different purposes). Before this set, my favorite pair was probably the Jabra 85h. However, as over-ear headphones, they often got too warm when I was using them for sports, or too clunky when I was visiting the webcam. So I wanted to find a better pair of headphones than I've tried before. Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pros: Looks great. Useful app that tweaks the sound (especially now that they've added optional volume controls). I prefer touch buttons that don't require a hard press. Good sound. The active noise cancellation is very effective, especially with the various noise cancellation settings. Cons: (SEE UPDATE) While you can customize what the touch buttons do, there's no way to change the volume using the touch buttons. This was a surprise because my wife has a Liberty Air 2 and it was an option for her. Not sure why they removed some customization options. It hurts my ears to wear it. I had to buy memory foam tips that were longer. Now they're not great, but pretty good (instead of hurting for a few minutes, I can wear them comfortably for 2+ hours before they start to get uncomfortable). The included tips (I tried different sizes) would have been so painful I could barely have made it through an hour-long meeting. I think the problem for me was that the shape of the round end of the earbud didn't fit my ear. Once I found the longer foam tips, the eartip was able to stay firmly in my ear (they also improved noise cancellation), but the hard eartip didn't have to be pressed in as hard and comfort improved significantly. (SEE UPDATE) Battery life is far from advertised. I'm hoping this is an issue with my set and I want to replace them - not that every pair made will be. I contacted the company (my past experience with Anker with their other products has been excellent and I believe this is the company that makes the Soundcore headphones). They advertise a duration of 7 hours and 3 charges per case. They often seemed to run out much quicker, so today I took a closer look and tracked my usage. They were 100% fully charged when I started using them this morning. I used them for 5 hours - almost 3 hours for phone calls, the other 2 hours I wore them but heard no sound (for a small portion of that time I didn't wear them at all). I then got a low battery notification and checked the app which showed they were on the verge of death. Also, I only get 1 to 1.5 charges from my case before I have to charge the case. Now the case will charge fast and the earbuds will charge fast in the case (I didn't say exactly but I'm surprised to see how fast they charge and a quick 15 minute charge is really enough to get another one hour to make calls). Considering I bought them mainly for work meetings (now they're all virtual) and I work 8 hours a day and some days 4-6 hours, I expected them to last 7 hours so I'm not worried make her die in the middle (or sooner) of my day. (SEE UPDATE) Again, I hope the company will replace my current set and keep the new ones as advertised. I also feel that they aren't exactly comfortable for prolonged wear, but they do a considerably better job with my foam ear tips (of course, all ears are different and I've read reviews that said they were very comfortable and others , which also had to be replaced (the enclosed inserts with new ones). Foam). Currently I would rate it a four. If they can solve my battery issues and I base my rating on comfort after changing earbuds, I would give them an A- or even an A rating. UPDATE 3-4-21: Let me start by saying that you will It's hard to find better customer service than Anker/Soundcore. I contacted the company with my problems. They responded very quickly and offered to send me a replacement. Unfortunately they weren't in the blue pair I bought. They also offered to ship the blue pair as soon as they were in stock. They made sure the replacement met my needs. The replacement earbuds solved some of my problems. They hold a charge longer, although still less than I was hoping for. This may be due to additional settings - volume, noise cancellation etc. I get between 3-4 hours of usage (ie time per call, with maybe 1-2 hours of extra downtime between calls if still included). What has greatly improved with the new pair is that the case now charges my headphones 2.5-3 times. I'm also very impressed with how fast the case charges itself (I use a wireless charging pad) and how fast the case charges my headphones. While it would be great if they could last a full day on a single charge, they can instead last all day because I can quickly charge even 15 minutes between appointments to have more than enough to last an extra hour or more to add. . also found that the replacement pair improved noise cancellation. It doesn't block the sound 100% (especially depending on the frequency), but I was amazed when I put them on one day when my son was playing the violin. I had to remove them to see if he stopped playing as I was amazed I can't hear him anymore (maybe they should sell them to parents whose kids are learning a new instrument :). I was also very pleased to see that they updated the app so I can now select + and - volume as customizable touch control options. I hope they add more customization options (single tap, double tap and press and hold for 2 seconds. They don't currently have a single tap option). I had to choose between multiple options that I wanted as there was no one click option. But I was glad that I can now choose the volume, as that's a much more common need when using it. Overall this is a great pair of headphones and I see no need to look for a replacement any time soon. If I do, their quality and customer support will make me look for something from Anker.
