The mode switch is useless. When switched off, the product returns to the standard mode. It worked fine for a couple of weeks. Then the yellow and red light bulbs practically stopped working. As a result, it completely failed and would not turn on again. I opened it up and found an AA powered by a solar panel. Actually the device can hold 3x AA, but they decided to only use one. I found that one battery had oxidized contacts causing the light not to work. I cleaned it and the device worked again, but the yellow and red lights still barely work. Tested with standard AA battery, no improvement. Tested at 2x AA and the light got a little brighter but yellow and red were still dull. Not impressed.
