Good filter for well water. We live in a well with very acidic water so we need to use an acid neutralizer and water softener to condition our water. My wife has long complained that her hair looks better when we head out to hotels after showering. I bought this shower filter to see if it would improve the water for her hair. Well, it's been less than a week and she's already seeing a difference. I'm glad I installed it in our shower. Installation was fairly easy, but I found that the washers that came with the kit didn't sit very well in the joints and I leaked on the first try. I didn't want to over tighten the connections as they are plastic and I was concerned they might break so I added 2 more turns of the supplied tape and that seemed to fix the problem. I also installed the new shower head that comes with the kit and my wife loves the power of the jet. I should note that there is a noticeable hum when using the new shower head, but I believe this is due to the extra radiance from the smaller holes in the head. I think it's good that an additional canister filter is included. Let's see how long it lasts between filter changes.
