I have tried several knot tying tools over the years. Most of them are suitable for tying a knot on nails, but they fall short when it comes to tying a clinch or improved clinch. This little tool is great for nail and clinch knots, improved clinch and trilene knots. At first I found it a bit difficult to open the slot for the string, but now I use a different holding and pressing technique than the one described. on included travel destinations (see photo). I hold the device between my index and middle fingers and press with my thumb. I understand that this technique can work for anyone and will refer it to another reviewer who attached a zip tie to his tool for better grip. . This little tool eliminates mistakes when tying and thus untying the knot. It has restored my confidence in the easy clinch even with a smaller hooklink. I love being able to spend my money on a great product made right here in the USA.
