If you suffer from neuropathy, arthritis, low vision, or other fine dexterity disorders, you're just like me good at working with thin lines and lugs. This tool looks a bit overkill, but it's well made and gets the job done perfectly, making entering nodes much easier. Very helpful videos for different knots too. I recommend it and hope you don't fall into a fast moving stream or deep water.

Very good product! Must have for people like me with weak eyes and fingers! Expensive but worth it! Now I knit bow ties and balls three times faster and naturally; have flies and baits three times longer in the water and of course; Catch three times as many fish! I've seen this product and other adverts several times and couldn't tell if it's a gimmick or a useful tool. As a beginner fly fisherman I still get a little frustrated trying to tie knots because I'm getting older and need to wear reading glasses and whenever I need to tie a knot. **Update - I just got a new and improved knitting needle! It's absolutely amazing! It's even easier to use than the previous one I have. The spring is much easier to compress with one hand, making it easier to thread line through the grommet, and the small form factor is no longer an issue as the spring is much less taut. I bought this product hoping to improve my fishing experience and I love it. All the knots I used when going to knots stretched out dramatically. The product is easy to use and if you get stuck there are some great tutorial videos. I went from one or two knots to an arsenal to choose from. Great product and even better customer service, I do not recommend experts and newbies.

The key to this product is to push the metal ring down to open the hole for the free end of the cord. This should be easier to do. Be that as it may, the spring is too hard to depress, and the smooth metal collar is difficult to hook with thumb and fingers. Problem solved - simply loop the tie around the metal collar.
