Soft, easy to wear, supports ankle more than arch or heel

I like these socks although they don't really help me the way I need them to. I have a particularly stubborn case of plantar fasciitis with an uncomfortable heel spur and tendinitis that runs down the inside of the ankle. This helps the ankle area when you wrap it around the achilles area and you can make it pretty tight. I don't feel like a real sock has enough compression to help my sore heel/arch areas, but I still wear them when I have to go barefoot. Some days it helps, some days it doesn't. I like it for the price. Mild and easy enough to understand, although other reviewers said they were confused. I think it might be better for people with Achilles tendinitis or ankle pain than traditional plantar fasciitis pain. What I don't like is that the velcro inevitably sticks to the sock and not the strap and causes pilling, but for the price I really can't complain.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
