Review on Cardinal Gates Stairway Special Gate: Safeguarding Your Stairs with Style by Chris Worlds

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.

Our top part of the ladder has no directly opposite posts. This meant we had to angle the gate slightly. Drywall anchors are something you don't want to bother with on gates. We found these gates that can be angled up to 30 degrees and gave it a try. All you had to do was carefully drill holes for 4 screws and the gate was mounted. To be honest most of the time was spent driving screws into the wall. When installed at an incline, the door opens and closes without any problems. We have absolutely no problem with the gate, it closes very securely and it will be difficult if not impossible for a child to open it as you have to unlock the gate, LIFT IT and then swing open. To close the gate you have to do the opposite, it DOES NOT CLOSE AUTHENTICALLY. My advice for those installing this: - First attach the side of the hinges with two screws. Note that we had to install our hinge under the rail. To do this, you must screw the hinge wall bracket to the gate and the hinge mounted on it. - After the hinge is assembled, attach the gate to the hinge. - Orientate the remaining wall bracket to the correct location on the gate. Make sure the gate pins fit into the bracket. - The gate opens and closes by lifting the gate UP and removing it from this bracket. So these holes on the bracket are for the pins on the gate. You should mount the wall bracket as high on the wall as possible so that the pins on the wall bracket fall into the holes when you lift the gate to close and when you lift the gate to open. It deletes the parenthesis. A lot of people seem to mount this bracket too low on the wall causing the gate to pop open as it doesn't fit deep enough into the holes on the wall bracket. correct height. These gates are very easy for us to open and close and can carry quite a bit of weight. The doors themselves are very light. I'm sure throwing some dumbbells at him will ruin him, but he's strong enough for our kid.
