This gate is really well built and strong when closed. Installing the gate itself was relatively easy, but I also installed it for ease of removal and installation. We are grandparents looking after a grandchild at least one day a week. We needed a goal but we wanted to be able to take it away when he wasn't with us. The second photo shows additional pieces of wood used to build the half walls. The gate itself is permanently attached to some 1" boards which are then bolted securely to other…

Good kids gate, great customer service

We have one of these gates (black version) at the top of the stairs and just a 'blocker' at the bottom of the stairs. Well, our grandson, who is less than a year old, can now easily throw the lower barricade aside, so we decided to buy another such gate, in this case white. Screws to go through the drywall to the studs but I couldn't get the latch to engage properly. It turns out that the latch should have been rejected at the factory. Please see the picture. This will normally be a one star…

A+ Slide over the mopping boards to open. Firmly.

Solid easy to use and install. Ridiculous for whoever blames the fool on husband's incompetence/ignorance in home repair (or just plain wrong) "damaged our wall". They screwed into a corner that was heavily plastered. what did you expect? Good thing they didn't have a glass block wall! If anything, they give you screws long enough to attach through the drywall to the stud. Hopefully that's what you'll do, if not you'll have to come up with your own contraptions. as with nothing. I had to brick…

PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES!

Now we love this goal! It was installed incorrectly at first (neither by my husband nor by me). We had to push it down to lock it in place and it was difficult to open. We removed it, contacted the company for replacement parts and followed the instructions on how to install it. Installation was very easy, but we still had to click to close. After investigating the issue, we found that the wall bracket that the latch sticks to needs to be mounted higher on the wall. It was only half an inch. We

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.

Our top part of the ladder has no directly opposite posts. This meant we had to angle the gate slightly. Drywall anchors are something you don't want to bother with on gates. We found these gates that can be angled up to 30 degrees and gave it a try. All you had to do was carefully drill holes for 4 screws and the gate was mounted. To be honest most of the time was spent driving screws into the wall. When installed at an incline, the door opens and closes without any problems. We have…

Great kids gate if you know a thing or two

Firstly all the reviews I have seen under 4 are for people using this gate outdoors or who don't like the latch because it"too hard to use" is ." folks if you can't EASILY get the gate to work then you have NOT installed it properly. I have 2 of these gates and after trying other gates that suck LOVE I them. They are all metal even the locking mechanism. They are not too heavy and not too light. They are easy to install if you know a few things I will list: 1. Before you do anything, look look…
