I don't know what's there and I don't want to know either. All I know is that it works. It works on really old stubborn stains, pretty much anything that takes a little effort. Apparently enough people have heard about it because I used to pay less than $2 at the grocery store and now I can only find it online and at a much higher price. A price I'll pay anyway because, as I said, it works on clothes, my nylon kind of fancy upholstered bar stools, my sofa armrests, my jeans, and even some stains that can only be dry cleaned . A tip: For non-washable items such as upholstered furniture, many fabrics must be treated completely with the product and then rubbed off thoroughly, otherwise circles will remain.
