Review on Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm πŸ“· f/1.8G Lens: Exceptional Image Quality and Versatility by Agung Baraya ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

Quite a high-quality lens, although the manufacturer is China. There must be a fix in the arsenal. Fifty dollars is exactly what both an amateur and an advanced photographer need. I shot on a whale for a short time, then I bought 24-120 / 3.5-5.6 AF-S. Well, that one is purely for reportage shooting, although we did not immediately become friends with him. A little peculiar glass, they write that it is soapy, but if you understand its principle of operation, then the photos are sharp. But with a fifty dollars made friends immediately. The only thing I can recommend when buying is to take a focusing table to the store. In order to avoid BF / FF and not be disappointed in the purchase. The first shooting at the wedding left only positive impressions and emotions. I am satisfied with the purchase. Later I will unsubscribe as there will be new tests and new pictures. Good lens, worth buying. When processing photos, it turned out HA. Removed by the editor in flight. I shot indoors and outdoors, indoors with an external flash is generally great. Light is doing its job. Outdoors, the shots are soft, but at the same time sharp on the subject. I use only 2.0-2.2 aperture range, on this aperture it draws bokeh beautifully. In a room (apartment), of course, it is better to use it as a portrait lens, because this lens is not wide-angle, it is quite possible to shoot a group portrait of 2-3 people, full-length is problematic due to limited space. In general, I am satisfied with the purchase, especially for such a ridiculous price - 8200. Lately I've been thinking about buying a 35mm lens, for shooting indoors at a more or less wide angle, there is also aperture.

Pros
  • 1. Price 2. Sharp on an open hole 3. Beautiful bokeh 4. Metal mount 5. Small depth of field at an open aperture 6. Lightweight 7. Tenacious autofocus
Cons
  • there are HA
