I added these to my Haibike fat studded tire after 2 spectacular falls on ice. The existing spikes worked well on slick ice, but slipped when riding on hard ice. Since I'm using five pounds of air, the trick to installing it is to inflate the tire to 20psi and they'll skid right away. So far I've found one that I couldn't use due to manufacturing issues. I have used spikes before but saved $50 with them. Another trick is to spike your riding boots.
