I've been drawing in the Asian style on Xuan paper since 2005 and I've tried out a lot of paper. This one isn't one of my favourites. This is an inexpensive machine paper, very absorbent and cotton-like. Unlike some of the higher quality and more expensive handmade Xuan papers, this is not a very vibrant and responsive paper. I've tried using it as a wet mount pad, but it's too soft. My plan is to use it when trying out a new composition or trying to learn how to use my brush to achieve a certain shape. THIS IS A GREAT PRACTICE PAPER! You don't want to be using your best paper if all you're trying to do is play around with a brush and ink.
