I was skeptical after reading so many negative reviews, but was keen to try ceramic pots and pans after reading about the potential dangers of PTFE and Teflon non-stick coatings. A member of my family has ceramic pots and pans and I hated them: every time I tried to use them I had to use way more oil than I ever wanted to, and often they stuck anyway and were very difficult to clean. But I've read that ceramic pots and pans simply require different care and cooking methods, like cooking at lower temperatures and without the use of abrasive detergents. And at around $100 for a fairly complete set, I went for it. I still love these pots and pans! works exactly as advertised. I've found that they heat up quicker and retain heat better than the cookware I'm more used to and I never have to raise the temperature above average. Usually the middle one works fine. I still haven't used any oil or oil in my kitchen without any problems. One problem is that one of the handles was scratched quite badly as you can see in the attached photo (sorry for the poor photo quality). . And the largest pan isn't as big as I'd like, although I can make a standard sized scrambled tofu fairly easily if I'm careful (a block of tofu, peppers, onions). And the handles are really very warm, sometimes a bit too hot to touch, but I bought some silicone (+Multifunctional) oven mitts for this purpose and now it's not a problem. Otherwise they are excellent. I love the way they look and they cook great. I'm very *very* glad we made the purchase! in terms of effect and health + Cleaning is a breeze + Heavy but easy + Beautiful CONS: - The biggest pan isn't as big as I'd like (for example, I can't use a multi-ingredient fry) and I'm not sure I'll use the smallest pan because it's so small - Medium pan doesn't have a lid - Handles get hot (just use the holders) - Learning curve (but I've adapted very quickly to new temperature needs and cleaning style) 5 β Very happy purchase , especially at a price of $100. These are the best pots and pans I have ever worked with. If you want to learn something new, give them a try. As long as you do what you have to do (don't overheat, don't use non-stick sprays, don't rub with abrasive objects, don't touch anything but soft cookware), ceramic is great and you'll fall in love. I'll try to remember to come back to update after a few months of use and if there are any issues I'll be sure to update.
