I needed a good 3 hole punch and read the reviews. It had some of the best results. But what arrived was clearly returned as defective. There is a rubber base that you have to remove to peel off the perforated paper but all 4 corners broke off when you tried to put it on the metal base which was clearly too big. So I sent it back and asked for a replacement for the same item - a mistake. It arrived perfect, the rubber base fitted snugly to the metal frame but once it came loose it wouldn't reassemble without breaking the corners of the rubber base again. The covers are defective and should not be sold as is. I am sending it back and have already gotten a bostitch for the same price that looks and works better from the start - metal lever, fixed base with emptying door. It also has a metal lock to keep the handle down when not in use. A much excellent product. I hope this helps someone avoid my mistakes and get it right the first time.
