This is my first bike repair stand and I love it! For the price it's really worth it. You get what you pay for and I have nothing to compare it to, but it gets the job done. I rotated the clamp 90 degrees to secure the bike to the seatpost tube. If I attached it to the top tube it would get in the way of my mid 90's mountain bike cables. The center of gravity of the bike is closer to the front, and the bike begins to slowly move down with the front wheel and rise slowly with the rear wheel. I mean if I take a break and come back in a few hours I just readjust the position. never mind You can tighten the clamps a lot and it's pretty stable. Brackets are plastic. The only thing that can be a weak point is the connection to the horizontal pipe. However, it is indeed quite durable and seems to last a long time. If it ever fails, I'm sure I can fix it with some galvanized plumbing. In any case, if you are a stingy person like me, you will not regret the purchase.
