This is a well made 150w transformer at a fair price. I'm planning to power a device that requires 230VAC and only draws 120W of power, so I think I'll be pretty happy with that. As you can see in the listing, LiteFuze calls this a "300W" transformer. I don't understand how US regulations allow the company to do this because as LiteFuze says in the manual that came with it, the device will only deliver 150 watts continuously. I am familiar with ratings for various types of transformers, including distribution and substation transformers. Every transformer that a utility purchases has a rating on the nameplate, and this value is always the CONTINUOUS rating of the transformer. The manufacturer must state that this transformer is rated at 150W; not "300W".
