Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Bikeroo Extra Wide Cruiser Bike Seat with Suspension - Comfortable Replacement Bicycle Saddle for Women and Men - Great for Optimal Softness by Charles Lewellen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really liked the Bikearoo saddle that I bought for my wife. I got one for myself.

I bought this seat for my wife's new hybrid bike. It came with a thin (racing style) and uncomfortable brown leatherette saddle. And break-in time or not, she didn't have any. So we went in search of a large beach cruiser style saddle/seat. Between our local bike shops and two major chain stores, we came closest to two seats from a bike brand we all knew growing up in the '50s and '60s. Nothing has happened. Bikeroo saddle for my wife's bike arrived today. Personally, I believe that no matter what type of bike seat a person has, there is a "comfortable break-in period". However, this saddle was an instant hit. Right out of the box, I installed it on her bike's seat post without an adapter. She sat on it and immediately said YES. (almost like When Harry Met Sally, yes!) Then I took my bike for a short ride down the street and agreed. This is a very comfortable bike seat. A PLUS. the brown faux leather matched the color of the OEM seat on their bike. I think what makes this seat so comfortable is the combination of a little indentation where "your buns meet the seat". and the fact that the nose of the saddle, which could have been an issue for me, was actually very soft. This kept me from sliding forward and didn't create a hard surface in my "middle". (Old man problem area.) I ended up just going back to Revain and ordering the same saddle/seat but in black to match my Trek Mdl 720 Hybrid. I look forward to removing the signature "no-nose" replacement seat I recently purchased which would be nice if I didn't slide forward all the time. Again, the nose on this seat offers containment but doesn't bother me (it's easy for the old boys whether we're driving or not). So it looks like we're now a family with two Bikerari saddles.
