Review on Enhance Air Quality with TYC 800131P Mazda Mazda-6 Cabin Air Filter Replacement by Justin Spoja

Feels as sturdy as a Mazda OEM filter

I bought this for my daughter's 2010 Mazda 6. It felt solid and the pleats looked just as thick as the OEM version I pulled out. And the price is too good to pass up. A word of advice if you're changing this to a Mazda 6 (2009-2013): the fan motor is just below this filter housing and if your filter looks like my daughter's you can pull out a square panel full of leaves and twigs, bugs and other Damn. If one of these scrapes off and stays in the case it will fall into the blower as soon as you remove the filter and you have to remove it to get it out or the blower will sound like a squirrel cage. how to play cards on the spokes of a bicycle and/or have chopped leaves thrown in your eyes. From what I remember it's 3 screws (Torx, I forgot the size) and it comes straight out. When you pull it, notice that Mazda has added small counterweights to the fan blades. Pretty cool.
