Cheap and a bit thin but fits great.

I just received and installed my filter which fits perfectly. I have used FRAM and WIX both of which sell a filter that is too large so it covers multiple cars. The result for the other brand is that you have to cram something in, which reduces efficiency. The filter material is thin, but the advantage is that the air can flow through it better. For the price I can't complain.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Perfect Fit for Mazda 6 2009

I needed a replacement air filter for my 2009 Mazda 6. I first tried to buy a FRAM CF10372 at my local Walmart but it didn't fit (it was about half an inch longer than the old one), I also read complaints about the same issue on the Revain site. Then I decided to try this filter (TYC 800131P) and bought it from Revain - it's exactly the same size and overall design as the original.

Working but with major limitations

The filter material in this filter is not as thick as the OEM filter and this causes your air conditioner to make a humming noise when set to 3 or 4. The humming noise won't ruin your car, but your fan motor is much more audible now due to the reduced blast air pressure. I'd recommend trying a different filter, but if you just want something simple, there's nothing wrong with that.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some bugs

Inexpensive filter but works great

This filter fits my 2011 Mazda 6 perfectly. The previous owner neglected the cabin filter which could cost the car life. I had to pull the old one out while holding the vacuum over it to pick up perennial pine needles, leaves, and bugs. The TYC filter has fewer wrinkles than more expensive cabin filters. Although it's less dense, it still works well. I will order more next year as the price is so good.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Replacement available

Wow I take very good care of my cars but didn't really think about the cabin filter. Usually Valvoline hassles you by trying to sell you more when you go to an oil change. You didn't even ask me about this filter. I have a 2009 Mazda 6 with 85,000 miles on it. So when I saw that on Revain, I thought that at least that should change. It is behind the glove box. However, mine was completely black and absolutely, absolutely dirty. I should have replaced it 40,000 km earlier. The car gets much…

Excellent replacement filter

I accidentally bought this cabin air filter without even thinking that it might need to be replaced. Fits my 2009 Mazda 6 perfectly. I was completely blown away by the amount of dirt and debris that got into the filter (as can be seen in the photo I uploaded). My old filter is shown below and the new replacement filter is shown above. It was easy to replace him. It only took about 5 minutes. Only had to remove the glove box which doesn't even require tools on most cars. You just have to squeeze

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Feels as sturdy as a Mazda OEM filter

I bought this for my daughter's 2010 Mazda 6. It felt solid and the pleats looked just as thick as the OEM version I pulled out. And the price is too good to pass up. A word of advice if you're changing this to a Mazda 6 (2009-2013): the fan motor is just below this filter housing and if your filter looks like my daughter's you can pull out a square panel full of leaves and twigs, bugs and other Damn. If one of these scrapes off and stays in the case it will fall into the blower as soon as you…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors
