The brush and dustpan are very easy to assemble. I was a bit surprised by the width of the bristle row, because it was smaller than I expected. This isn't such a big deal to me as it actually makes it easier for the broom to hit certain nooks and crannies around the furniture. For those who want a broom with a handle that extends past the 60 inch mark, this broom handle will fall short. For me he's perfectly tall considering I'm only 5ft 3in. He's a bit small for my husband, 6ft, but manageable. The dustpan is slightly larger than the width of the bristles of a broom, so you can store the bristles in the dustpan, clip them together in a bar, and hang (or stand) them for storage. The dustpan also stands on its own without being held by it, although if you're sweeping it you'll still need to add extra support to keep it stable. I am very happy with this purchase!
