I bought a set of these Muttluks boots for my male Border Collie and they look and feel very good. They're a little tricky to put on, with a sock-like upper and a fairly firm grip, allowing the dog's paw to fit in the top of the boot. It's not something to beat up in a hurry. But one day the shoe fit perfectly in my dog's paw. -However. I have to send them back because even though the boot itself was the right size, the velcro strap tightened right on the tip of my dog's claw. From experience with other boots I know that in this case there is a painful chafing point under the claws. (And yes, I keep them trimmed.) So I will regret sending these boots back as unusable. He has more protruding nails than many dogs, so this may not be an issue for dogs with nice flat nails or no nails at all. Shame as I was looking forward to keeping them as part of my travel and canine emergency kit.
