FoV smaller than expected

Despite the FoV listed as "72" degrees, the widest I can get worked out to be closer to 50 degrees. Not quite enough to cover all three of my garage doors (see photo). Image resolution is OK but optics and/or focus are mediocre (again, see photo ;) although that's not an issue for what I'm using it for. I'm not using the IR at the moment, but the bare camera handles low light very well.
