This is my first 4k monitor and my first G-sync monitor. The 4k resolution looks great, but G-Sync is very disappointing as a premium feature that adds hundreds of dollars to the asking price. It's just not worth it. The screen will flicker severely when the frame rate drops below 35, the game will still lag severely. The only thing that really fixes it is the screen tearing. That's all. I paid an additional $200 for the monitor to fix screen tearing and introduce stuttering and flickering below 35 fps. Wow, what a great exchange! I feel sorry for Acer because they actually made a good product, it's only marred by Nvidia's broken G-Sync feature. I've spent hours on the forums reading about this and it seems most agree that g-sync isn't working - probably due to an incompatibility with a Windows 10 update or something. Of course, I could just disable g-sync in the settings, but then what's the point of paying extra for a g-sync monitor? This is my first. and the latest G-Sync monitor.
