The filter perfectly cleans the water. Hooray! Replacing the filter is always a problem. We're afraid of it. Very complicated. Even for the plumber who originally installed the system and a few handymen, family and friends who tried to help. The system is difficult to open. The filter has a very fragile tip that needs to be screwed into the system. Filters are not cheap. Not easy to find. Only one shop about 1/2 hour away sells it. Lucky to find it online. But in the last 5 years I've had to throw away about 10 filters just because the tip broke while changing the filter. If you don't tighten it enough, water will leak out. If you over tighten it will break. Too fragile and delicate. I'm sure they could improve it. But why should they? This way they make more money because you have to buy more filters. The reason I get a box of two is so I can expect at least one of them to break. And if the tip breaks off inside the system, which happens, it becomes almost impossible to pull it out. You can count on 1-2 hours time. I would consider a different system if it is easier to replace the filter. And to avoid the expense of throwing away defective filters.
