Translucent, dirty, difficult to blend, the sandpaper they give leaves scratches

I have used 2 part epoxy patches in the past and have generally been happy with them so I was surprised that it was so hard to process . I applied it over small chips in the sink and found it didn't hide the paint - you could see it through the patch even if it was too thick. Also, color matching is a difficult and manual process - you can't just buy a "close enough" arctic white like some of the competition, you have to mix the dyes yourself - and in very small batches! I couldn't find a good match after an hour of fiddling and as mentioned it didn't matter anyway since the chips were still wired. The material is also dirty and the spatula they give you is not a precision tool. . I ended up using one of my metal drywall knives to clean up the mess it was making. I've found that rubbing alcohol cleans it well when it's still wet, so at least I was able to avoid permanent damage to the sink. Finally, you won't get good results with the included sandpaper. You - 100 grit is too aggressive a finishing step for such detailed work. This will leave scratches on your finish. You should start with something thinner like 220 and work your way down; eg 220, 400, then 600. You don't get finer grit sandpaper for this, so you must have your own sandpaper.
