This item is not for heavy bass or even the punchy bass genre. Subwoofer output is very weak. You have to turn the extra volume control almost all the way up and increase the frequency. Reached halfway to be hit with 1300-watt 12-inch speakers. When I have my 2000 watt subwoofer plugged in, you can only hear the subwoofer when your other speakers aren't sounding. but for the price and expectations, i was a bit surprised. very good for mid and high frequencies, but not very good for a subwoofer. To be honest I ran this through my 400 watt amp and then through my 1000 watt amp and it's pretty good for full range speakers. So if you need a compass equalizer, you can try something else. BUT if you are a beginner or you are 20 years old and living in your mothers basement and want a good sound then thats amazing this EQ has amazing distortion and a confusing sound when my block is turned to 15 and the EQ itself in position is 9 hours
