Although this assembly does NOT have grooves cut into the pulley to match the belt grooves, it fits perfectly. It rolls much smoother than the old one and the engine doesn't seem to run like it used to. This device is about four times cheaper than the original Sears device, which is nice. The brush bristles are longer than my old (worn out) bristles and seem to clean the carpet much better. I'm very glad I bought it and it was easy to replace. Don't stress that it doesn't have pulley grooves, it still has good grip and won't slip or overload the engine mount.
