Review on Dorman 926 293 Parking Select Models by Steve Harris

Fits 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is possible to make one side per unit ordered. Works on left or right side. Contains 3 metal levers and a rubber sleeve. 2 levers for left or right side, stamped L or R. The previous parking brake lever was blocked by rust. I recommend taking photos to help assemble new parts. Once connected, they are not that easy to take apart again. For a correct assembly it is necessary to extract the hub and remove the brake plate. The rubber boot goes behind the brake shield and it is difficult to remove/install the lever parts without removing the hub and shield. I decided to abandon the old case and cut out the old lever without disassembling anything else. Can be disassembled into 2 parts if not very rusty. A flashlight and WD-40 didn't help me, I used a grinder. Installation was easier than removal. Put one piece through the old boot, then snap the other piece into place.
