Thermostat not working. I replaced the stock thermostat at 135,000 miles - decided it was time to replace all hoses and the thermostat as part of a service job. Thermostat installed, cooling system filled and properly vented - car drove 5 km - bam! Overheated. Excellent. These 4.7s don't like the heat so I'm hoping the head gaskets are good and the heads aren't warped. Bought a replacement for this piece of junk from NAPA. $30 later and now skeptical about the head gaskets on my truck due to the overheating that happened with Stant. Avoid. Garbage.
