Functional, but low flow rate vs similar bottles

I have owned Salomon bottles like this for years and bought these as replacements. They work the same way with a bite valve and seem very durable. However, this brand (Aonijie) has some design flaws that cause the flow rate to be much less than half of the Salomon bottles. When running, you do not want to be using a lot of your lung capacity to pull water out of your bottle. If that is your use case I recommend passing on these and finding another. If you are walking and do not need water efficiently these bottles may suffice. In case the Aonijie designers read this here are details for how you can increase the flow rate to be similar to what Salomon has:- Attached is an image with the Salomon cap on the left and yours on the right.- The designs are very similar on a basic level- The first improvement is on the top piece. The cylindrical section at the very top of Salomon is shorter than yours. That difference allows more water to get through when the bite valve is used.- The second improvement is on the middle piece. You used a thicker and more rigid material for this piece than Salomon. When it is bitten the opening around the wide part of the top piece is larger for the more flexible of the materials (Salomon).Assuming it doesn't infringe any design patents, those two improvements would make the flow rate useful for runners.

Pros
  • Attractive design
Cons
  • The nozzle may be prone to breakage or wear over time.
