I thought it was a far cry from the hoodman quality I own. I was positively surprised! Diopters have always been the biggest problem with cheap viewfinders, but this one worked great. Easily conforms to my eyes and my friend's eyes. Great for night and astrophotography which is why I bought it. An additional plus is the strap. Not only does it hold the viewfinder around your neck, but it also doubles as a support for attaching the viewfinder to the back of your camera over the live view screen! This simple feature allows you to attach the viewfinder to the back of your camera without any additional parts, so you can see the live image without having to hold the viewfinder with one hand. It works quite well and has proven to be a valuable addition to my night and astrophotography. It is cheaper than Hoodman loupe and at 2X magnification, 2X magnification is not too high and the image is very bright and clear. An added bonus is the dual function harness.
