Somehow I didn't even realize the need for a second laptop monitor until I got this one. It got high ratings and great reviews, so I gave it a try. And it made my job MUCH EASIER! I'm a freelance writer and I've been constantly switching between tabs to view resources in one tab and write in another. I have a terrible memory so I had to switch tabs A LOT. Now I can view my source material on the same screen while I continue typing on my document. One of my clients also has me publish and update the website which takes A LOT of copy and paste and this second monitor helps A LOT with that. Having never used a second monitor before, I don't have a comparison, but I'm quite happy with its size, features, and screen quality (I don't use speakers, so can't comment on sound quality). I'm glad I bought this monitor and I think you are too.
