Review on Premium Gorilla Grip Pet Cat Carrier: TSA Approved, Soft-Sided Travel Bag for Cats & Small Dogs up to 15lbs - Comfortable & Collapsible for Airport Travel by Debbie Thomas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My cat tested it and found it good 2 paws

Purchased and along with other supplies to the Chico, California Animal Shelter for a dog or cat in need/separated from their family after a campfire. It fits under an airplane seat if that is one of your uses. The carriage is larger than the one I have for my own cat but shorter. You can see in the photo that she's almost dangling in the front, but you can also see that she has plenty of room from side to side if she wants to curl up. It opens with a zipper at the top, both ends and one side. The hood is a must when loading my cat. The zippers are strong. I'm not sure the little lanyard clips reinforce the zippers much unless you hook the clip through the top of BOTH zippers, which is a little fiddly and tricky, but it's a thoughtful addition. The mesh was surprisingly strong and well stitched which allowed for plenty of ventilation and eye contact - I felt like my cat wouldn't be able to break through the mesh or zippers. My only complaints are 1. The side pocket is long but not very deep. You can put travel documents and some pee pads in there, but when I travel with her I'm used to carrying her rattles, treats, garbage bags, canned food or kibble in my pockets. The internal base is fine. I have the same bottom in my other cat carrier and my cat digs and tears the fabric when inside and after every ride I find pieces of styrofoam. It would be the same here. The shoulder strap was average. The clips that attach it to the trunk feel solid and have some cushioning, although I'm not sure how comfortable that would be on a long airport ride.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Will do
