Before I get started I have a bachelor's degree in audio recording and I majored in audio in college. I've built audio gear and I take it pretty seriously. I personally wouldn't use GhostWire to connect a studio, but this is for an entertainment center. I found this product by accident while looking for a solution to route speaker wire across the floor under carpet in an ultra low profile. I did a little research and watched a few videos to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and then ordered a roll and some terminal blocks. works great - and I won't lie, I had my doubts and thought I was investing in a pipe dream. No, it's amazing! I thought I should mark and line up my path beforehand, but I got too excited and started recording right away. Luckily the floor is covered with the aforementioned carpet and part of the wall is covered with tapestry. GhostWire is currently powering my rear speakers in the 5.1 configuration. I'm so glad I reached out to Sewell to let them know. I intend to use GhostWire for future installs as well. I haven't tested how well it holds putty/plaster dirt and paint since I decided to cover the wall in tapestry as I know I'll have to remove it eventually. very cool about it. The stick factor is impressive and even handles our slightly textured wall like a champ. This material is thin, not exactly paper, I would say, the thickness of two razor blades stacked on top of each other - tapering at the edges with a gentle slope. It's barely noticeable, and before the carpet was installed I was able to pull the coffee table over the installed cord without snagging or snagging. Edit 6/20/19: This stuff is still going well and even survived the first ten months. my daughter's life. Due to moving it will be removed soon but I intend to use this product again when restoring entertainment in a new home.
