These mirror extensions are an engineering genius: they fit great, are easy to fit and appear strong and of high quality. BUT they are too small to be useful. I am trying to tow an 8ft wide camper with a JK Wrangler that is 6ft wide. I need a 12" extension for my OEM mirror on each side, this only extends the 4" extension. I wish the manufacturer would make a larger version soon, I'll be the first to buy it. Unfortunately these are back. UPDATE: tested on my street. These mirrors roughly double the distance you can see behind the trailer, which isn't too bad. I'm towing an 8ft wide camper in my Jeep Wrangler and I could see the car in the lane next to me about 40ft behind a trailer with standard mirrors (very inconvenient). Adding these mirrors more than doubles that distance. The question remains: is it enough to see 100 feet behind the trailer? Maybe someone with more experience can chime in? Seeing the sides of the trailer is out of the question, but how necessary is it?
