I was peeling an orange and it was awkward at best. The angle of the blades or something like that will cause it to stretch in one direction or the other. It's very difficult to keep it straight so it kept slipping off the orange and onto my hand. Same thing happened when I used parmesan peel. Whether I was stretching the peel in my hand over an orange or holding it against a cutting board and running cheese down the blades, I couldn't control the slip and ended up cutting my hand. It also comes with a protective case, but there are two large openings that expose the blades, so when storing it you need to be careful not to cut yourself, damage other items in the drawer, or damage the blades that others are exposed to are . Dishes. I'm going back to the brand I originally had. It was twice the price but definitely worth every penny.
