I had an old professional version of this stand for several years. From what I remember I paid about double the current price for the Pro version when I bought this stand. I gave it up (from DJing) for desk work and lifted my laptop up for airflow/cooling, partly because it's lost some of its grip/rigidity. I tried the well preserved foldable Hercules and didn't like it at all so I sent it back. I really think the Crane Plus is better than the Pro (even though it was new). It's more durable (steel vs aluminum) and very stiff/stable even in the "C" position, which I prefer to the "Z" position because I don't have to bend down much to see the screen. I have fitted 1/2 inch high rubber feet to my S4 Mk2 tractor to raise it over the B pillar in the C position and it works great. It's reliable equipment at a competitive price.
